I hate surprises, so obviously I wanted to find out whether we were having a little boy or little girl. Our appointment was set for Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 3:00 PM. (What was I thinking with the 3 PM time?!?) Anyways, the day finally arrived after what seemed like forever since our last appointment (only 2 weeks though!). Our ultrasounds was first, thank you Lord! We go in, and the ultrasound tech starts looking. The first thing she finds are the baby's feet. And they're HUGE!! Then she started looking at the head and brain, heart and spine were next. Finally, after taking all the measurements for baby and checking to make sure everything was fine, we got to find out what we were having.
And, drum roll please....
We're having a......
little BOY!!
Josh's reaction was great. I definitely should have taken my camera to capture it. As soon as you could see his little boy parts and she said that it was a boy, his face lit up and he was grinning from ear to ear! He knew from the very beginning that it was going to be a little boy.
I, on the other hand, was a little bit disappointed. I, for sure, thought it was a girl. All my friends thought it was a girl, but nope! I was disappointed it was a boy, but I'm oh so glad that he's healthy and measuring big! It's taken sometime to get used to the idea that I'm having a son, but I love it now!!
I can't wait until he gets here, and I get to dress him up in all his little clothes. I can't wait until I can push around the oh so cute stroller I've picked out. and I can't wait until I get his nursery all finished! Those pictures will obviously becoming later!
