Wow! It's been a little while since I've posted anything on here. Nothing really has happened all that exciting around here except I did turn 23 on the 1st of October. In my last blog post, I stated I would share some of the details of my upcoming baby shower. So here they are and then some other things:
I didn't want a traditional baby shower where it looked like I had gone to Walmart or Michael's and gotten every boy baby shower thing in the store. I wanted something different - that reflected my personality. Most people plan the theme around the bedding, but I'm not most people.
The theme for the baby shower is rustic, country.
The colors we're using are brown and light blue.
The centerpieces are going to be a combination of 2 different ones - 3 will be Tonka toys and then the rest will be vintage blue mason jars with rustic, fall flowers in them.
For food, we're doing the following: yeast rolls with either turkey & cheese or ham & cheese, meatballs, deli spirals, apple & caramel tray, buffalo chicken dip with crackers, mini cheesecakes, vegetable tray with dip, and cupcakes.
For favors, we're doing little journals with a jute string and thank you tag.
For games, I've chosen Daddy Knows Best, Baby Babble, Baby Food & Also a Baby Name.
Other decorations include: a handmade banner with his name, a clothesline, advice cards in the shape of mason jars, handmade cupcake picks and cupcake stand.
I absolutely can't wait for it to get here and be able to share pictures of everything. I will try to post pictures of some of the projects I've been working on for the baby shower.
