Pregnancy/ Baby Binder

Saturday, September 1, 2012

I saw on another blog (this one here) a baby binder that I thought was really cool. I had been thinking of making something similar to that to keep baby shower information, hospital checklist, birth plan, etc. in but hadn't found one anywhere until I stumbled upon her blog. So using her list of tab ideas and adding a few of mine, I created my very own Pregnancy/ Baby Binder.

My supplies were:
- 1" 3-ring binder
- 8 pack tabs
- Calendar

My tabs are:
- Important Numbers
- Pregnancy Checklist
- Projects List
- Baby Registry Information
- Nursery Planning
- Hospital Checklist
- Birth Plan
- Baby Shower Information

Why I chose the tabs I chose and what's under them:
- Important Numbers: this tab has my OB/GYN's information, the hospital's information, and then emergency contacts ( my husband, mom, and dad)
- Pregnancy Checklist: this tab has a checklist of things I need to do before Weston comes (i.e. schedule child-birth education classes, when to turn in my pre-admission papers, etc.).
- Projects List: this tab contains my list of projects I would like to do. It also includes the supplies and instructions for each project and a picture of the finished project.
- Baby Registry Information: this tab contains everything registry. It includes my registry chart (has columns for item, if I've registered for it, the quantity I registered for, if I've received or already have it, and where I registered for it at), my printed out Target registry and Babies R Us Registry.
- Nursery Planning: this tab contains a checklist of things I need to do to complete Weston's nursery. It also has blank pages for photo ideas.
- Hospital Checklist: this tab contains the checklist for the following: my hospital bag, Josh's hospital bag, Weston's hospital bag, and the miscellaneous list
- Birth Plan: this tab contains my birth plan
- Baby Shower Information: no, I'm not hosting MY baby shower, but I'm helping the person who is. She's a mom of 2 young boys and is going to college full-time so the least I can do is help out. Plus, this way I get what I want ;)

I also included blank notebook paper, a calendar/ planner, and a pouch to put receipts in.
