Weston's 9-Month {Update}

I can't believe my little 6lb, 10 oz. Christmas present is already 9 months old! Time sure has flown by, and I wish it would slow down. He keeps growing and getting more independent. He's not my cuddly, snuggly little boy anymore; but he's still a momma's boy {be jealous daddy!!}His personality has grown so much over the past 9 months, and I can't wait to see more of it shine through in the coming months and years.

So 9 months, here we go!

Weston's Size

 Weston's 9-month appointment was today (9/30). He's weighing in at a healthy 20 lbs and is 29" long. He's wearing some 6-9 months, but he's mostly in 9 months and starting in the 12 months for length. He's wearing size 3 Pamper's Cruisers diapers.

Weston's Likes

Weston Allen is very, very busy. He loves to see and touch everything. He loves to bounce up and down in his exersaucer, and loves to scoot around in his walker. He goes everywhere in his walker. He is a binky baby for sure and will only take Avent Soothies {vanilla scented}. Bath time has gotten way better now that he can splash and play around. He just splishes and a splashes. He loves just about any toy he can put in his mouth; but some of his favorites are his Highlight's "Hello" magazine and his little truck. He loves being anywhere mommy or daddy is. He is sooo nosey and I LOVE it! He loves playing with our dog Windsor. He laughs at almost anything, and I love to make him laugh. He loves eating cheerios and drinking juice. He's such an easy going baby. We truly have been blessed.

Weston's Dislikes

He's not so crazy about vegetables. He loves fruit, fruit mixed with vegetables, and vegetables mixed with meats; but plain vegetables are a no-go. He gets fussy when he gets sleepy, and rubs his eyes to let us know. He also does his little fake cry to get everybody's attention and to see if we're paying attention. He also doesn't like the word 'NO'. He starts crying and put his head down when we say. It's cute and funny.  He's such a ham.

 

Oh...the Places We Go

We go out to lunch and dinner with friends, and he goes shopping and to the grocery story with mommy. We go to church and he goes in the nursery like a big boy. During the week, he visits Grammy & Granddad's while mommy's at work, and they go on all kinds of adventures. He's even visited me at work. He loves going for rides in the car and visiting places.

We get stopped all the time by people in stores saying how cute Weston is and just to talk to him. He's starting to babble and wave back. He usually smiles at women, but men...he's a little more leery of.

What He's (& We're) Up to

Weston's eating (3-4) 6-8oz. bottles a day, plus baby food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. And snacks of yogurt or cheerios and juice between. He's a chunky monkey for sure {takes after his daddy}.

He loves it when you're holding him and you stand up so he can scout out what's going on. He loves to sit on the floor and play with his toys. He's always trying to get into everything.

He babbles and babbles. He babbles right along with you as if he's conversing with you. In the mornings, I hear him in the monitors just singing and talking to himself. Always brings a smile to my face...perfect way to start the morning.

Weston loves to give kisses. They may be wet and slobbery, but I sure do love them.

He is very curious. Always looking up and around. He loves feeling and touching new things.

Weston is sleeping all night. He usually goes to bed between 8-9 and wakes up around 8. So a good 12 hours.

He's sitting up by himself, army crawling all over the place, and starting to pull up on things. He is all over the place and into everything!

 

Foods This Month

We've started him on thicker baby food along with people food. He's not so sure about the people food yet especially meats. We've also started giving him cheerios during snack-time. He's doing very well with those. 

Josh and I have been blessed with such a sweet little boy. I can't wait to see what these coming months and years have in store for us. Weston, you've changed our life drastically but for the better. We love you so much sweet boy<3.
